Life on the island

So this week was super good! we have been working really hard to get the members on board with all we are doing which is honestly pretty hard sometimes just because you have to get everyone working for that common goal but its picking up now! we have been able to work with stake and ward leaders in helping fenglin district start to happen which is super exciting!! I actually called president about that and told him that i wanted to go down there. so there is a chance that i could move down there next transfer which would be sick! but then again i have just as big of a chance moving somewhere else too im good either way 🙂

but anyway thats mostly things im excited about haha! on another note we were able to get a family that we have been working with on date!! this family is super sick! we have been working hard to get them there, they are the zhu family and honestly i love them so much! the dad is super down for it but the wife is a little less willing. its ok though, in the closing prayer of our last lesson he prayed that him and his family would all be able to learn more and be baptized! it was such an amazing lesson!! life as a missionary is super tiring, but its also the most rewarding and happy time 🙂 life is great!

just remember the important things, if you lose focus of those you tend to lose hope and happiness. that is something i have seen a lot this week, its really kind of sad and too easily happens! thats why we read, pray, and go to church. you all know that so just keep it up 🙂

love you all!

hey everyone!

so this week we have been doing some good work! so we have been working hard to get the members and missionaries in our zone to work better together so that we really have more people sharing the gospel and i love our wards! they are really getting behind us to bring this together! we have been pushing for the fenglin area to start and they will be having some people moving down there next transfer and i know that i will probably end up moving this next transfer and if i moved down there i would be overjoyed!!! but we will see what ends up happening!

so points for this week:

so we taught li li ya and li yi wen the law of chastity this last week which we were worried about because they were living together but honestly they are so prepared!! i was honestly kind of worried for that lesson and almost kind of hesitant in talking about that part but as soon as we brought it up and talked it over they understood and were totally willing to live it! they are the most solid couple ever! pray for them!

then super funny story! the sisters found this new investigator that actually sought them out and the reason that she started investigating the church was pretty funny actually! so to start this story this lady said that she was walking down the street to get lunch and then she saw what she called "a blonde haired angel" bike past her and smile at her. and sense everyone knows that white people on bikes traveling in pairs of two are the missionaries she said she went home to search the church and find out how to get in contact with the church! she sent in her information online and that night had a lady from salt lake call her and tell her to call the sisters and now the sisters are teaching her and she is progressing way well! i met her once and she’s solid! ended up finding out that i was the one that smiled at her and that got her to come to church! it was super cool! so never doubt the power of a smile! even if you aren’t feeling it just keep that smile on your face! because sure the work can be hard but it is worth it and can be done! love you all!

life is good 🙂

also found out that the three nephites are pretty funny, starting their own bread and breakfast with scripture names.

sometimes you just have to sneeze, i love the clothing here 🙂

life is good

so i don’t have much time because i always feel like i need to write everyone and procrastinate writing this one… haha sorry everyone BUT this week was so awesome!!

so i will just give a brief overview 🙂

first we went and played volleyball as a zone last pday and it was sick! then that night we were able to meet with one of our investigators that we have been working with and is so close to baptism!! her name is tian xin jie and we set a goal of the 24th for her to get baptized this month! she’s doing pretty good for that goal!

then we have been working with a part member famliy , the ma family, to get the dad and brother to come to church, the faith of the mom and youngest son is so crazy they want them to recieve these blessing so badly and i am totally down to help them out!! so pray for them!

then i went on an exchange with the APs and he was younger than me… thats when you know you have been out a while!

then we also set a date with li li ya and her boyfriend! they are working for the 29th of october! they are an amazing group of people! we ate at their restaurant and i went to pay and she was like "no im not letting you pay me!" and i was like "no, don’t be a butt and take my money!" then after a bit i just left it on her table so she had no choice but then as wer go to leave my companion comes up to me with his money still in his hand and my money as well he wasn’t able to pull it off…. it was super funny! haha i love them so much!

our ward had a karioke activity and we sang so hard and got 3rd place, yeah 🙂

I have an RC that came down to visit but the very first day that she got here she got in an accident! so she wasn’t able to do anything she originally had planned which sucks but we are still going out to go on a hike today!

other than that our stake is working to get 15 more melchizedek priesthood holders in 6 months! so…. we will make that work!! pray for that please!!

lastly for dinner last night we had a watermelon but no way to cut it… so i just grabbed my lightsaber and went ham

just another week in the life of a missionary

alright so this last week we have been making a big push on asking people if they have people that would be interested in hearing the gospel rather than just going out on the streets all the time (as fun as that is :p but really finding on the streets can be super fun!) but we ended up having a super sick week!

so this week honestly me and my companion had some communication issues which effected our work but we figured that out quick, love eachother and the work, and ended the week on a high!! we were able to see some sick miracles! we were able to get a famliy on baptismal date working for that covenant and also we saw 5 people come to church! a family of three 李éē—é›… li li ya 李厜文 li yi wen and their son! (not the same as the ones on date), this kid thats 16 林åģē銘 lin jian ming and has been coming for a long while but can’t be baptized because of parents disagreeing, then we saw another 17 year old girl į”°åŋƒæŊ” tian xin jie come to church for the second time and she’s doing super good!

that was a big miracle for sure! this week has just been so great! i love serving in a position where i can work with a bunch of missionaries and just be busy doing things that help not just investigators but missionaries as well! sharing about the gospel is such a strength to me personally i love it! love you all!!
